FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 10.10.2007
Nuremberg, Germany - Oct 12, 2007 - Paessler, a worldwide leading provider of network monitoring software for use on Windows systems, today announced updates to the company's flagship bandwidth usage monitoring software, Paessler Router Traffic Grapher (PRTG). Optimized for use with large networks new features make it easy to change configurations of hundreds of sensors at one time, enabling administrators to monitor large numbers of devices on their networks. Additionally, a newly implemented standards-based file prevents unnecessary heavy system utilization that can be caused by search engine spiders crawling publicly accessible PRTG Web sites.
"Our goal is to make PRTG easy to use in the face of increasing network complexity, while still providing flexibility, customization and most importantly, robust bandwidth monitoring capabilities, whether your monitoring three sensors or three thousand" said Dirk Paessler, CEO and founder.
Other new features and enhancements to PRTG include improved memory management for toplists that eases management capabilities and helps reduce out-of-memory errors, and a new feature that displays internal memory utilization, allowing users to optimize memory according to their own specifications. These features are particularly useful when PRTG is being deployed in large installations.
PRTG is an easy to use Windows-based software solution for monitoring and classifying bandwidth usage. It provides systems administrators with live readings and long-term usage trends of their network devices, and is one of the most widely used network bandwidth monitoring applications on the market today.
Using PRTG, network managers can gain valuable insight to affect changes that reduce server and bandwidth bottlenecks, identify which applications or servers hog bandwidth, strategically plan infrastructure upgrades, deliver better service to both external and internal customers, and reduce network costs by matching expenditures with actual bandwidth needs.
PRTG Traffic Grapher can be purchased through the Paessler online store at http://www.paessler.com/order/prtg starting at $99.95 for the professional edition with a 25-sensor license. A freeware edition with three sensors, suitable for SOHOs and private use, is also available.
Fondée en 1997, la société Paessler AG dont le siège se trouve à Nuremberg (Allemagne) s'est spécialisée dans le développement de logiciels alliant performance et facilité d'utilisation dans les domaines de la surveillance réseau, essais de charge et analyses.
